BBC History Magazine’s York History Weekend
Science was invented between 1500 and 1750. The new form of knowledge is reflected in a new vocabulary: fact, hypothesis, theory, law of nature. By 1700 the new conception of science was well established, and it remains our conception today. In this talk, David will ask, What began this great transformation which still shapes our lives today? – and come up with a surprising answer.
Book Tickets to see David on Friday 25 September.
